Mural Location: Petaluma, Ca (San Francisco, Bay area)
Mural Type: School Murals
Our mission working with Dunham School was to create a companion mural that continues to celebrate the agricultural legacy of Western Sonoma County while bringing new life and vibrancy to the school campus. Building on the success of the first mural, this second installation focuses on the animals and natural elements most closely tied to the region’s farming identity.
The mural features a bold composition centered around a goat and a rooster, framed by native lupine flowers and monarch butterflies. These elements were chosen to symbolize resilience, transformation, and the connection between people, land, and local wildlife. Painted in a dynamic, high-contrast color palette, the artwork captures both the warmth of the community and the beauty of Sonoma County’s rural landscape.
Located along the school’s main recess area, the mural welcomes students, teachers, and families each day, serving as a proud emblem of Dunham’s agricultural roots and creative spirit. Executed entirely by hand using professional-grade aerosol and acrylic paints, the mural was finished with a UV and weather-resistant clear coat to ensure lasting color and protection.
