Our mission with the NBCC/ Petaluma City Schools was to create a mural that would add life to the school's blacktop. We worked with students and faculty to help bring the mural to life and paint the pattern sections. Using high-quality floor paints similar to those use for road signs the blacktop mural will hold tough against weather and abrasion. The mural itself features various environments including the ocean, desert, streams, wetlands, mountains, and forests. Other elements as part of this large scale floor mural include a rainbow racetrack and stylized basketball court. This mural spans almost 100 square feet. We painted this mural thanks to the help of our partner, Kelly Moore Paints.
