Mural Location: Geyserville, Ca

(San Francisco, Bay Area)

Our mission working with the Geyserville Community Foundation was to reimagine and restore a mural that first adorned this wall in 1979, celebrating the City of Geyserville’s rich agricultural roots and community heritage. Muralist Maxfield Bala worked closely with the foundation to design a large-scale outdoor mural that honors the region’s history while infusing it with a refreshed, contemporary aesthetic.

The composition features Geyserville’s surrounding vineyards, farmland, and local produce, including grapes, pears, and prunes. Spilling from a traditional Pomo basket onto a woven Mexican blanket, symbolizing the unity of cultures and generations that have shaped the region. Local landmarks and rolling hills frame the background, connecting the town’s past and present through a shared story of hard work and creativity.

The 13-foot-tall by 40-foot-wide mural was painted using professional-grade acrylics and aerosol paints, then sealed with a UV, weather, and graffiti-resistant clear coat to ensure lasting protection against the elements. The City of Geyserville mural stands as a vibrant tribute to the community’s identity, honoring the land, the people, and the enduring spirit of Sonoma County.
