Mural Location: Mountain View, Ca (San Francisco, Bay Area)

Mural Type: Commercial Murals

Our Mission working with Google was to develop and paint an interior mural painting at their Googolplex facility in Mountain View, California. The mural’s theme is based around the infamous “Stan” -the 8 bit T-Rex dinosaur that occupies the Google Chrome browser when no internet connection can be found. This dinosaur is depicted among a desert scene complete with 8 bit dry brush and cacti. We expanded on this desert dinosaur theme to wrap around a roughly 300 Square Foot interior atrium occupying two rooms within the complex. The room to be known as Stans will house a lounge style area for employees. The mural spans across three walls and features a larger than life T-rex dinosaur skeleton as the anchor image. Woven throughout the piece are vibrant colors that pull from the area furniture and accent wall colors.  A sign painting reading “Stans” reading boldly from the main wall. Emitting from this text are vibrant patterns, realistic desert scenes, dinosaur foot prints, an 8 bit cactus and dinosaur skin texture swatches. This allowed for each wall to be its own strong piece when the mural cannot be view in its entirety.

In addition to this main atrium mural are a series of satellite wall murals. These span across Stans room and include depictions of the Android logo, dinosaur fossils, and an 8 bit pterodactyl. These satellite mural areas helped further theme the room for a more immersive and fun experience for the lounge area.
