Our Mission working with YUJA was to paint a mural based on the artwork of Illustrator and artist Jennet Liaw. Based on the design she provided us we painted a mural to the exact color, and design specifications to bring her design to life on the large ten foot high by twenty foot wide wall. The mural in the photograph features a clean, modern composition of teal line-art illustrations painted across a warm white wall in a bright, contemporary restaurant interior. Its playful, hand-drawn style incorporates food-inspired imagery—such as a pig framed in an oval seal, crustaceans, fish, noodles, and decorative symbols—arranged in flowing, asymmetrical panels that feel both culturally expressive and visually light. Accented with a few bold red circles and surrounded by ample negative space, the mural adds character and warmth without overwhelming the room, creating an inviting aesthetic that complements the natural light, wooden finishes, and overall airy atmosphere of the space.
