- Sonoma Counties newest mural on its way!
Maxfieldbala Bala Creative is working on its second mural for Public Storage in Petaluma, Ca. This secondary mural lead by San Francisco based mural artist, maxfieldbala Bala features local iconography from around Sonoma County. From cows, to grapes, steelhead trout, golden poppies and wine barrels this mural is sure to welcome all passerby’s on highway 101 to Sonoma County. We’ve been working around the rain and painting using the highest quality aerosols, and clear coats on the market to ensure the highest quality mural product possible. - Welcome to Petaluma Mural!
ITS FINISHED! Please welcome our newest mural for our clients Petaluma Self Storage and Terrepin Investments. Entitled “Welcome to Petaluma” this mural stands over 13’ tall and 50’ wide. As based off an old school post card, each letter features iconography local to the city of Petaluma, Ca from the historic clock tower to a cute chick representative of Petaluma’s egg history. Muralist, Maxfield Bala completed the mural in three weeks using a collection of aerosols and acrylics. Interested in seeing this mural in person? - Powerade Murals at Woodward Camps
Our mission was to create a series of interactive and eye opening mural paintings for Powerade and Woodward Camps in Tehachapi, Ca, Tahoe, Ca, Copper Mountain, Co, and Woodward, PA. Creating these inspiring wall mural based off the international "We're all Just a Kid From Somewhere" and "Fuel to Power Through" campaigns. Each mural was strategically placed at each Woodward location to ensure an interactive experience with professional and amateur action sports athletes. We used a series of branding graphics, city skylines, natural assets and animations to invoke the mural campaign ideals. Encapsulating the mural paintings in blue and grey tones to incorporate Powerade's color schemes. Mural paintings varied from 16' x 6' to 55' x 12' per location.
- Aera Technology Gets New Sinage
Our mission working for Aera Technology was to create a sign painting for their main office in the Silicon Vally's Mountain View, Ca. With only two days lead time, we were able to jump into action and create this sign painting in less then a 10 hour window. We used a combination of techniques to create a crisp, clean sign from a predetermined graphic from the Aera Technology creative team. The sign spans just over 10' tall and 10' wide. When all was said and done the client was ecstatic with our ability to recreate a design with such precision and in a timely manner.
- Petaluma small works RFP 2018
Over the past year artists Maxfield Bala and Ryan Petersen have developed and proposed an Idea to paint the largest mural in Sonoma County. An over 8000 Sq.Ft. mural on the Keller Street parking Garage in Petaluma, CA. The mural is to be composed of bold colors, California Iconography and our unique artistic styles. We proposed our idea to the PAC in a competitive field of over 70+ artists from around California. Today, I'm proud to announce our proposal has been selected as a top three finalist. While this is mearly a mock up, the final mural would feature realistic animals, sophisticated pattern work and additional iconography. In order to make this a reality we need your help! The final decision will be awarded this December/ January at a Petaluma Arts Committee public hearing. Once the final date has been determined, we ask you to show up and voice your support! We’ve created a new street art mural for the city of Petaluma. Artist, Maxfield Bala uses his unique combination of imagery, colors and patterns to help beautify the city streets. The mural painting features a hawk, lady bug, crocodile, and eyeball along with various patterns.

This utility box mural was painted to help beautify the city streets through an explosion of color and detail. These utility box murals help with graffiti abatement and lighten up the often over industrialized street corners throughout urban areas. This box in particular explores the creative style of artist Maxfield Bala with a collage of animals , and patterns.

New mural for Petaluma adult school in Petaluma. Painted by San Francisco mural artist Maxfield Bala using spray paints this mural took one week to complete. The message behind this piece of public art is to promote education for all ages and ethnicities in the north bay communities. This mural is a permanent installation off McDowell streets near the Safeway shopping center in Petaluma, Ca.
- New San Francisco, Bay Area Mural project!
This freshly completed mural project just north of The San Francisco Bay Area in Petaluma, Ca features a truly bright and thought provoking painting. The mural painted by muralist Maxfield Bala took theee days to paint on a series of wood cut panels. Using aerosols he masterfully hand painted the scene based off the theme song of citizenship. With flowers from countries around the world, a women giving the oath of citizenship, and he rainbow/ sun representing a bright future. This new mural will stand boldly for decades to come.
- Iceland comes to San Francisco with this new mural!
The RUV Broadcasting Network and the Iceland National Football Team travel to the San Francisco Bay Area to play a scrimmage game against the Peru National Team. They commissioned this portrait mural of Iceland's team captain in the heart of San Francisco as part of a photoshoot and documentary film about the team.
