- Google Fiber's Sunnyvale Office Gets a New Mural Painting
Our mission working with Google Fiber this January was to develop and paint a mural that would reflect their presence in Sunnyvale and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The new Google Fiber Office is located in the heart of Silicon Valley in the Mary Office Park in Sunnyvale, California. The Mural had to blend elements of the Google Fiber brand and feature Bay Area iconography. A mixture that reflected the beauty of the bay, and the presence and connectivity of GFibers service. In order to accomplish this creative brief we create a scene featuring some of San Francisco's most notable sites including the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, Transamerica Tower, and the Coit Tower. Artistically styled in the colors reflected in GFiber's emblem. The G Fiber Sunnyvale Office Mural comlpeted in January of 2026. Sunnyvale elements included the apricots, as the area was historically known to feature orchards before the big tech boom in the area. Broader bay area iconographic elements include a Great Blue Heron in flight, three California Golden Poppies blooming, the highway 101 sign and the colorful salt ponds found in San Jose. All of these elements are meant to reflect Google Fiber's presence and connectivity in the San Francisco Bay area from the north to the south. The Google Fiber offices feature the names of Salt to identify their meeting rooms- to expand on this idea we sprinkled in flakes of salt into the composition. The G Fiber Sunnyvale Office Mural spans 10' H x 22' W Throughout the scene are elements of the Google Fiber emblem meant to further represent how Fiber is embedded into the area. The mural in their new office space required three days to paint and stands at 10' high and spans over 22' in length. The mural was protected via an interior clear coat for a clean satin finish. The mural was developed and painted by Maxfield Bala and the team at Bala Creative. The G Fiber Sunnyvale Office Mural painted with Aersols and Acrylics. - Art, Friendship, and Flavor: Maxfield Bala Creative Brings Salt Hank’s NYC Restaurant to Life
When art, friendship, and flavor collide, the result isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience that blurs the line between craft and connection. For Maxfield Bala and Salt Hank, this collaboration was years in the m aking. The two have been close friends since childhood, bound by a shared sense of creativity and curiosity that followed them from the quiet corners of California to the creative chaos of New York City. Bala built his career through large-scale murals and design with Bala Creative, while Hank cultivated a national following with his inventive takes on comfort food, first in Sausalito and San Francisco, and now in Manhattan’s West Village, where his culinary vision has found its permanent home. That lifelong connection came full circle at 280 Bleecker Street, where Bala Creative helped transform Salt Hank’s first brick-and-mortar restaurant into a living piece of art. This wasn’t a standard commission; it was a partnership grounded in trust, shared purpose, and decades of friendship. Bala Creative became a minor ownership partner in the restaurant, trading paint for partnership, an exchange that fused creativity with equity and made art an integral part of the business itself. Working closely with Hank and his team, Bala Creative designed and hand-painted a collection of murals that reflect both New York’s timeless energy and Salt Hank’s West Coast spirit. The compositions weave together hand-drawn illustration, bold color, and layered paintwork, showcasing imagery that feels both familiar and fresh: yellow taxis speeding through the city, towering skyscrapers, crowded delis, and neon diner signs rendered with warmth, wit, and just the right amount of grit. Each piece carries the humor, boldness, and creative spark that define Salt Hank’s personality, a visual counterpart to his food, full of life and unapologetic flavor. The murals were executed using aerosol and acrylic techniques, chosen for their depth, vibrancy, and texture. Every brushstroke and spray pattern was intentionally layered to evoke movement, a rhythm that echoes the city outside and the pulse of the kitchen within. Light shifts across the painted surfaces throughout the day, catching reflections from the restaurant’s glass storefront, transforming the walls into living canvases that evolve with time and energy. Beyond aesthetics, the murals carry meaning. They symbolize the intersection of art, entrepreneurship, and friendship, reminding visitors that creativity isn’t confined to galleries or studios, it can live anywhere, even between bites of a sandwich on a bustling New York street. The restaurant has quickly become a gathering place for locals, travelers, and fans who recognize that what’s on the walls is just as intentional as what’s on the plate. For Bala Creative, this project represents more than another mural, it’s a full-circle story of collaboration, loyalty, and vision. From their early conversations as kids dreaming big in California to this tangible expression of partnership in New York City, the Salt Hank x Bala Creative murals capture the beauty of staying connected through craft. It’s proof that art can shape a space, elevate an experience, and turn friendship into legacy. If you find yourself in Manhattan’s West Village, stop by Salt Hank’s at 280 Bleecker Street to experience it for yourself. Order something unforgettable, look up at the murals, and take in the story they tell, one of food, friendship, and the enduring belief that creativity is meant to be shared.
- SANTA CLARA's Newest Mural
Santa Clara's latest mural painting features a building and conjoining water tower almost completely covered by large scale murals by local bay area based artist. Our Mission working with the team at Core Builders, the City of Santa Clara, and Agrihood was to develop and paint a series of four murals at the new sustainable community development. The project was led by our lead muralist Maxfield Bala who in collaboration with the Agrihood team desired to highlight the local area's iconography and its vibrant history in relation to the theme of the Agrihood development. Agrihood itself is a sustainable community whose property includes a stunning garden and park that provides its tenants with fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables. Many of these tenants being veterans and low income residents from the County of Santa Clara. The murals are composed of two end cap murals facing Winchester Blvd, with one premier wall and one large scale water tower spanning three stories in height. The end caps highlight Santa Clara's former namesake as "The Valley of the Heart's Delight" -named after the high concentration of orchards, trees, flowers and plants. The compositions feature the area's top produced crops among local butterflies and wildlife like the endangered San Joaquin kit fox. The Premier wall features a classic take on a postcard style mural. Jefferson Airplane Mural Our mission working with the Iconic Jefferson Airplane, Jampol Artist Management and Sony Music were to create an iconic exterior mural painting based on The Airplane's "Volunteers" album. Volunteers was the fifth studio album by American psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane, released in 1969 as RCA Victor LSP-4238 and in quadrophonic sound in 1973 as RCA Quadradisc APD1-0320. The album was controversial because of its revolutionary and anti-war lyrics along with the use of profanity. For the album's 50th anniversary we went back to the band's roots in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury District to paint a mural that would celebrate the revolutionary albums cover artwork. Painted on one of our rentable wall locations for advertising murals in the San Francisco area, artist Maxfield Bala spent four days painting this 13'0" H X 36'0" W mural to a variant of requested specifications. Maxfield worked with the band to design the mural around the dimensions of the wall. As a promotional effort, we time-lapsed the mural painting process for future use on social media channels. With thousands bound to see this mural a day, we couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate the album's release and introduce new listers to Jefferson Airplane and their incredible legacy. 4. - How Murals Transform Public Places: Before/ After
It's no secret that a fresh coat of paint can do wonders to a home, public area, or business. Applying that same principal to a well painted mural and the results can literally transform an area. The lackluster blank office wall, the old storage shed or the overlooked public area can be turned into an immersive hub primed for social gatherings, and the promotion of ideas. For schools it offers a renewed learning space,. For offices a way to improve the workplace mentality, and for a public area to renew a rough area and promote community values.
