Our mission working with Wavelengths Recovery Sonoma was to transform their San Francisco Bay Area office location with a mural painting the recreation of a coveted Hollywood movie scene. The scene portrays a series of classic hotrods including a Ford and Chevy coup as they line up on Paradise road ready to set off on a high-speed drag race through the countryside. The said scene is from bay area native, George Lucas's iconic movie American Graffiti shot partially in Sonoma County. The mural was painted in one of the historic Petaluma Mill Building suites. The mural itself covers multiple surface cracks, pipes, wall surfaces and obstructions yet still provides a spot-on recreation of the scene thanks to our mural lead, Maxfield Bala. The mural spanning 18' feet in length and just over 8' in height was painted with acrylic spray paints.
